Aims and Objectives:
- Exchange of ideas, spread knowledge, stimulate thinking and help UICT and other connected institutions to provide excellence in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology, where Research and Development is carried out.
- Foster fellowship, provide a common platform for mutual benefit by organizing activities and programs both in India and abroad with the co-operation of overseas institutions so that high standard of excellence is maintained.
Activities:
- Every year one or two outstanding candidates of UICT alumni association who have distinguished themselves in India /Abroad by their contributions to teaching, research, industry, defense, public or Government service are awarded "Distinguished Alumnus Award"
- Awards for Best student of UICT
- Award of scholarship to meritorious students.
- Organize seminar /Symposium / workshop of excellence in Chemistry, Chemical Technology and Chemical Engineering.
- Organize lectures, meetings, Factory visits, and special courses on the relevant topics.
- Assistance to R & D activities by suitable grants
- Sponsored Chemical Technology Management Certificate course, which commenced from Jan 2001.
UICT alumni have always contributed to education, research, industrial planning and growth. The alumni list of UICT reads like a who's who of the best in academia and industry.
